Say Yes to Trees!
I 'm so thrilled to say there's a new freebie's in store!
I was absolutely so taken (& shaken) with Prof. Nadkarni's ‘61 trees per person’ ratio, (the world supports 61 trees per person, you can read more about this
in my Say Yes to Trees post) that I decided to try my best to help spread the word!
What better way to encourage awareness than to have it in a note.
Thus, I've designed a new freebie just for that & here we have the Say Yes to Trees Envelope Set! A customized Envelope and note card set which unfolds into the shape of a tree! Of course, I had to have it in my fave pattern :)
This is a first for Jinjerup as this freebie & its pictorial tutorial are featured exclusively on the Folding Trees site, one of the best places for paper craft based tutorials and creations!
Here's a list of materials you will need!
1) Heavy paper or cardstock for the notecard (ideally use recycled paper,
thicker than 120gm)
2) Paper for the envelope (can be thinner than the notecard paper)
3) Printer
4) Scissors
5) Sharp craft knife/scalpel and self-healing mat
6) Long ruler
All ready? Hop on over to the tute to start!
Note: This funnily ironic thought occured to me whilst I was working on this freebie's tute> notably this is a first for Jinjerup contributing to Folding Trees’ lovely tutorials and of all paper crafts to feature, Jinjerup came up with (you’ve got that right!)
a folding tree!
Honestly, it was probably a subconscious decision on my part but I sure did not see that coming! chuckle*
Have fun!! :D

Revelation!
Oh me, oh my!
I've just discovered something a little interesting today by doing this little test called the Munsell Hue test! Its a color proficiency test which is pretty darn accurate!
The first things you'll see are these 4 strips of colorful boxes. All you'll have to do is arrange the boxes horizontally according to the gradients of the colors at both ends of the strip. Arrange all boxes of all 4 strips and you're good to go! Then you'll learn how well you determine colors! The lower the score, the better you are. wink*
The four strips of colored gradient boxes.
grin* now i fully understand why there were times when I got (imho, the odd) querying feedback stating "Why do you so use so many shades of red or why do you use that many tones of blue?"
After getting those comments, I would reduce much of the color gradations in my work to simplify matters but I still never fully got it. Till now. I couldn't help that these varying shades of sky blue or hibiscus red looked vastly different to me!! lols* Will keep the test results firmly in mind from now on. :P (Note: I took the test 3 times with intervals of an hour in between. 1st result: 7, 2nd: 4 & 3rd: 0)
What's your score?
Take the Munsell test today to find out!
chuckle*

Jinjerup New Freebie: Chick Chic Bookmark
I'm an avid reader of books & I don't usually stick to reading just one at a time.
I am guilty of dog ear-ing all my paperbacks :p as I am either constantly losing my bookmarks or am just too plain lazy to stick one in between the pages before I fall asleep. (for all who've loaned me your books> no, I don't [or try extremely hard]
not to do so wink*)
To avoid anymore unnecessary e(a)rring on my part, I was just thinking of how I should come up with a cute little bookmark which does not just lie in between pages but gently grips itself to pages for a better hold.
& what better design to use than my latest Easter
pattern called Chick Chic. Thus, I present to you,
the freebie of the week: Chick Chic Bookmark
I designed them in many different colors to suit your moods or your book covers!
Great as mini gifts for family and friends! (fellow dog ear markers too!)^- ^;;
Hop on over to Jinjerup for templates & an easy to follow pictorial tutorial now!

Jinjerup has moved!!
Hi again folks!
If you've just wandered over to Jinjerup.com and found that you're getting 404 errors, howdy!
I'm currently facing a ton of probs with blogger, major major issues arising from a conflict between their blogspot domain and my custom one. Not only are quite a majority of my new Jinjerup pictures on blogger not displaying, my old domain has linkage errors too.
So whilst I'm resolving these annoying problems, please head on over to jinjerup.blogspot.com instead for access to Jinjerup!
Thank you for your kind patience everyone.
:) Lynn

Goodbye & Hello!
Heya everyone! grin*
It was finally time I gave Jinjerup a facelift and a new home.
I really loved my old layout (pictured below) but as time wore on,
I realized I had spent a bit too much time on the website & not as much
on my designs. Thus, I packed up & mosey-ed on down to blogger.
Am going to be able to work and post up more stuff :D 3 cheers to that!

Easter eggain!
I've been really a good girl this year! Its an early Easter Surprise! :P
I know, i know, its 1 month and 4 days early! chuckle* early for once!
(it is hard juggling a few projects at once on top of a full time job but I will speed things up pretty soon!) wink*
Pastels are big on Jinjerup's Easter palette this year! Soft pinks, easy blues and pretty orange hues accompany petite bunnies & their delicate gifts of eggs.
To the Jinjerup collection, we are adding 4 new lovely patterns with 2 new wallpapers and a special Easter giftbox just for you!
Much Love,
Lynn
p/s: i'm trying my bestest best to hurry! I've been working on a launch of something new! & I am waiting to eagerly share it with you guys! Please do stay tuned!

Internets is the robs.
Sob* they are robbing me of my internets time....
It is awful being cut off like this and being informed "yes, yes, you'll be getting your connection soon... its anytime now.." when you know it'll take them many more #@$@#$@ days to get your net up and running again.
So in the meantime, am working up some new lovelies for Jinjerup! :D
Fingers triply crossed I'll be online again soon!

Happy 2009!
Hi folks!
A short note for now :D I'm going to be MIA for a little while longer whilst I settle into my new place. Since I've moved house, I've been stranded without a net connection, so i need to get me some internets sooooon...
Fingers crossed* Here's to hoping it won't take too long. (Knowing the ridiculously silly service the internet provider here provides, it might take awhile for them to set it up for me...grr...)
In the meantime, do swing by Jinjerup for some lovely freebies and TheVeggiepatch for some interesting Veggie facts!
I'll catch you guys soon! Have a fantastic 2009!
Hugs,
Lynn
